Koolance QDC any good?

Was looking at using one of these as a drain for my loop.

See stories of corrosion and getting stuck is this still an issue as most threads are from back 2016?

The silver / nickel plated ones are definitely OK, I wouldn't touch the black ones.

As Above, despite seeing info that says they have "Improved the black units" The one I had still sometimes needed a jiggle to get it to properly close after a disconnect, resulting in several messes.

Swapped to Nickel ones and been golden ever since.

Important note in case you missed it, that's a bulkhead fitting, it has a G1/4 internal thread. Which simply put means it won't screw into a block, it expects a regular fitting to screw into it.

Its on a tee and being used a drain ive got the female put on the loop and use the male side with a bit of tubing just to connect if i need to drain.
