Korsakovia is a new experimental mod by the makers of Dear Esther. It's a survival horror about delusion, paranoia and the end of the world. Requires Episode Two.

Resolution Magazine said they've "Never played a game that @*****@ with me so much" and that "It’s rare for a game to instil such panic. It’s up there with ‘Shock 2 and Silent Hill in that respect.".

Hide the matches, break the TV screen, gouge out your eyes, turn out the lights and play it on your own late at night.

Installation instructions:

This is version 1.0, currently available as .zip - unpack it into your SourceMods folder.

I'm currently downloading it now and from a lot of users comments it seems to strike a nerve amongst many players that are scared. So fingers crossed it's as good as those people say.
I did try the original Mod that the makers of this mod created and I wasn't overly impressed, but this one seems to have a bit more to it.

Download is going slow at only 40kb but I can wait. Just hope it's not going to be a dissapointment.

dan pinchbeck the guy who was the lead design on dear esther was a tutor of mine at portsmouth uni, its great to see them continue to work on these projects as I know he does a lot of games related research with the mods he makes

Been playing this, it's...interesting, have to say the first occurances of the "enemies" really shocked me and it is VERY atmospheric.

Not scary but then I find little scary these days.

I am currently stuck on what I think is the last level, will come back to it tomorrow.

10 minutes in and it's quite good.

The brushwork is simple to help keep the flow, the story is pretty good and the overall presentation reminds me a lot of a certain game series by Remedy.

Well I completed it....it's very....VERY...strange.

If you are expecting guns and zombies, this is not the mod for you, at all, however it is very interesting, very creapy and very well written.

Yeah, this is pretty good. Not your usual FPS shizzle. Very eerie. Great story mechanic, brilliant voice acting.
