for some reason this game is not running well on my pc. it was running fine until the bit on the mining planet at the start where you some back up and have to get a ship off the planet cause some ugly dude shows up (never played kotor b4 :)). and when i came up the lift and met the jedi woman, performance just dropped down to about 1fps and immediatley i thought o crap my card is borked (with it being an agp his x1950 pro) but cs:s and WoW both run perfect. so i thought that maybe if i just reset my pc it will be fine. nope. so i turned everything off and down low. still nothing. so i turned my drivers up to full performance. not a thing. i am running vista 64 so any1 know what is wrong or could it just be vista? cause it was running fine for ages except with a few graphics glitches like things getting stretched.

any help would be much appreciated :)

Timmy

*edit*

also i keep getting graphics glitches in silent hunter 4 where the screen goes all pixelated in colours like black and red and i cant see a thing.

so again any help with this would be appreciated, but i dont think the 2 are unrelated

There's a graphics setting that causes problems - I think it's called Post Processing Effects. Try turning this off and see if it makes a difference. My games are fine until I hit Dantooine, then it slows right down unless I turn this off.

Will double check the name of the setting when I get home ;)

ah rite uninstalling the drivers 2 see if thats the problem lol hope its not the patch as that would be annoying as i prob should have done that :P

Depends what o/s you're using too. Vista hates KOTOR, even with all the patches applied, I still had to knock off that graphics setting.

I cant even get KotOR2 to start in Vista, it doesn't recognise my gfx drivers (7.5 cats for 2900xt), it keeps saying that they're out of date, the game wont even start

Have you installed Direct X 9??

yarp, its the game that says they're out of date, not Vista, incase there was any confusion.

The game's system scanner seems to think that I only have 512mb of ram, when I have 2Gb.
