Hello. I have a question about noise NZXT Kraken X73 on 10850K stock 4800mhz.
Cooling is AIO 360 Kraken X73.
During gameplay on Serious sam 4 temps are 50-61C. During Control 40-53C.
That cooling fans is v.loud for me when cpu load raise. I mean when starting game,or just sometimes in games. I can hear v.loud noise of fans. Is this normal? I dont setting own curve. All on auto.
I am using NZXT cam utility and pump on performance mode.

Card is Rtx 3090 Gaming OC stock ( gpu max 61C). Also 32GB ram. Thx.

Windows 10 is up to date.

Probably just an aggressive "auto" fan profile being applied by the motherboard (maybe a custom one if the build is not one you done yourself). May also be the CAM software applying its own "auto" profile which is changing what the MB would normally do (I don't run CAM so can't be 100% on this).

Easy solution is to go into the bios and tweak the fan settings (e.g. Q-Fan on Asus boards) to one that prioritises noise over raw cooling performance. Your temps are absolutely fine so plenty of headroom to bring the fan speeds down without causing issues. Additionally if the software is then applying its own settings ensure these are disabled or set to follow the MB settings (normally this would be "auto").

Its probably the easiest solution. If nothing else it will confirm whether the MB is indeed applying an aggressive curve.

Then you can play around to your hearts content to get the right fan curve that suits your taste. For example on my system I have my CPU and chassis fans set to 30%, only ramping up progressively when my CPU passes 75C. This means it is effectively "silent" in a normal room with background noise when gaming (well certainly less audible than the GPU anyway).

You can adjust this in the CAM software, I also have the x73 and found it way too loud on default settings. Just click on the 'Cooling' icon on the left and then change the 'Fan' drop-down to 'Custom'. Finally click on the 'Fan' row and adjust the fan % against the temperature curve. I've just set mine to 50% as I don't like the fans ramping up and down. I've also set the pump speed to 58% as this annoyed me more as there is a whine to the pump at certain RPM's. There's only a couple of degrees difference between these settings and defaults so you should be good with you temps.
