Kraken Z63 push pull in Corsair 500d RGB, high gpu temps

Hi peeps,

Im currently using rtx 3090 zotac trinity in corsair 500d rgb, ive got kraken z63 mounted to the front of the case, but gpu seems to be getting quite hot sometimes reaching 86C in heavy games.

I was thinking to add 2 more NZXT AerP 140mm fans to the back of the rad for push/pull and to help gpu get some more fresh air.

From my research header on the AIO should be able to handle powering 4x140mm fans.

Is that a good idea or not ?

I also have 2x120mm fans on top as exhaust and 1x120mm in the back exhausting as well.
 
What's the temperature target for your graphics card? you can check in afterburner. 86C isn't outrageously hot but you should be able to bring it down by tweaking the fan curve.

It sounds like you have enough case fans pointing in the right directions. Are you controlling the speeds of them at all?
 
Adding two more fans won’t help with CPU temps but yes, should help with cooling the air going over the GPU (I have a Z Kraken too but retired it as I went custom cooled)
 
Yes my cpu never goes above 70c even under heavy stress test, i just wanted to add more fans to help cool down GPU.

I have ordered 2 more nzxt Aer P 140mm fans we will see if it helps or not lol.

Have you tried mounting the Z63 as an exhaust at the top instead? The trade off will be a slightly warmer CPU, but with the benefit that the GPU will get more fresh air. The rear fan could be set as intake in that setup.

No i haven't i ordered 2 more aer P fans and see if it makes a difference, if not ill try radiator on top :)
