Hey guys,
Bought the Krypton Ankylosaur bundle few months ago, worked fine for a few days then started to get random blue screens, put up with it as they were so infrequent, then started to get random switch off's no error message, PC was working fine then its just gone. turns back on after with no error either. (have been too busy to try and fix this for the last month or two but want to get it sorted now)
Take the stock overclock off and it runs fine at 3.6ghz with no errors.
Contacted OcUK and they said to run memtest, so i apply the overclock again, run memtest but on the GUI of memtest it says
"IMC: Intel i7-2600k @3.40Ghz
Settings RAM : 573Mhz DDR3-1147 CAS 9-9-9-28"
and comes up with no errors in the RAM, but it dosnt look like memtest is running whilst the overclock is applied so it might not find the problem which is causing the switch off's?
Can anyone think of any other cause of the problem?
system is the bundle + Corsair 620 + BFG 260 OC + SSD HD + 3 other drives + soundcard.
Thanks Guys, Sorry this isn't very well written I'm quite tired.
