I ordered the overclocked i7 930 bundle http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=BU-029-OB and when i put it together and turned it on it gave me an error message saying overclock failed and asked press F1 to re-configure or F2 i tried restarting it a few times, but after reading on the forums i decided to press f2 and i was able to install windows, but after restarting once windows was installed it gave me the error message CPU over temperature so i just turned it off and left it, as i did not want to damage the parts. Any Help Please

Rest of specs or in sig

Ring up OcUK or send them a webnote. You can also post in the customer services forum in the bottom.

Check that the heatsink has been installed correctly. Have you used thermal paste? What are the temps in the BIOS?

OCUK is closed today but while installing the heat sink there was pre-applied thermal paste it made contact with the processor for a few seconds, then i took it off repositioned it and installed it, would this make a difference and how do u check temps in bios

i hope mine doesnt do the same mine was orderd last week it should be here tomorrow (monday or tuesday) but on the bright side they give real EXELLENT SUPPORT for there bundles. for what ive read on here...

i think it would be under hardware montior in the bios. i orderd an extra sharkoon 2000 fan for my megahalem heatsink also to try and keep the temps down...

OCUK is closed today

Erm 5th Sept, a Saturday? We are open every Saturday.

You may have an instance of cold boot, this can happen with OC'ed systems especially when off for a period of time.

Load up the BIOS by pressing DEL on bootup and then scroll across the tabs until you get to the O.C profile and load up the profile "ocuk" and this will restore the settings.

Let me know how you get one.

Re-seating it shouldn't matter too much as long as the thermal paste did not get hot, if the thermal paste got warm there is a chance it could have set and then when you re-seated it, it would create an un-even surface not cooling the CPU correctly.

As for the OC error I would contact OCUK

Got my bundle today have to wait and get a new case and sound card before it gets built.
Thanks ocuk for the exellent service:).
