Krypton Rampage Overclocked Bundle : More memory??

I'm keen to have 12GB RAM in my next system - there's no point leaving room to upgrade, it's too bloody expensive by the time you get 'round to it.

However, I see these bundles advertised that offer a 'guaranteed' overclock and they all seem to be 6GB systems. What's the impact of putting another 3 sticks to double the memory?

more strain on the memory controller, which usually involves sticking more volts through the chip.

sometimes it works, but it depends on the quality of the chip (and more so the memory controller in the chip)
