The difference between entry level and mid-tier TVs in a range is generally only ever some upgraded internal components like dual tuners or an extra HDMI etc etc. The panel will most likely be the same.

I wouldn't call the KS7000 entry level more like low mid with the 8000 being mid. The KS8000 has a nicer back (who looks at the back anyways?), slightly better local dimming and that's about it. Save yourself some cash and just buy the KS7000!

I've been trying to find out the same myself and as spike says, it seems to be the dimming which is better on the 8000. What this means in real world usage its difficult to say. Some have said motion is better on the 8000 as well.

Been looking at these my self and from what i have read the hdr performance is better on the 8000 along with motion handling , however i doubt its a night and day difference.

So they both have the same display, 10bit, hdr, uhd, smart tv with Amazon prime and a different back panel.
Not much for the £400 difference then?
Andi.

Didn't know they came with Amazon Prime? Mine didn't or am
I missing something?

Also the 8000 has slightly better speakers. My KS7000 suffers from the back coming away from the screen, but tape has sorted that out. Also I believe even though the KS8000 has a more plush less plastic back, I think I read it still suffers from the same back issues.

I went for the 7000. In the end I couldn't spot any visual difference in the image quality side by side. The 7000 still has all the specification you would want for a 4K HDR screen in its price range.

I have a KS8000 only about 2 weeks old. It was £200 more than the KS7000, It seems the KS7000 has dropped by £200. Making the KS8000 £400 more expensive! I say get the KS7000. Mine is only the 49inch, pretty ****ed to be fair. I didnt mind paying 200 more for the extra features but I certainly would not have paid 400 more!!!

Looked at them both today... I think the 8000 has slightly nicer contrast ratio and motion... there isn't much in it.

Comparing to equivalent Sony and last years LG OLED and I think the 8000 is my favourite... the OLED has the epic blacks, but I thought the image definition of the 8000 was better.

I've just ordered the 7000 + the half price Samsung 4k player offer from John Lewis. Will probably add a sound bar as well. Hope to get one with good glue on the back!!
