Good morning knowledgeable peeps, does anyone have any real world experience with the afore mentioned Kuga, looking at changing the diesel Focus to one of these as I don't do the milage to justify a diesel:-

So a quick update to this, took it for a test drive yesterday and it's a really comfortable drive, I'd never considered a hybrid before having only ever driven a Ioniq and this was so much better, this didn't feel sluggish or 'heavy & wafty' at all, all in all it's a nice car that I would happily take ownership of.

Off to Sytner to look at a few petrol 3 series today but they have plenty of 330e models in so will certainly look at those although there is a high possibility I could end up with a M135i again as I miss that crazy little fella

I'm far from expert but I don't see the point of this car. It's got a small battery and will only give a marginal boost to mpg. It's also expensive to tax, probably becuase its a Vignale and was over £40k list price. The Plug in Kuga's have a decent reputation and you get about 30 miles on pure electric so depending on your ability to charge at home that could be more economical.

In the end I got a 320i from Sytner BMW yesterday instead of this as I didn't think there was much benefit for the hybrid as you mentioned above

Cars like this are not for the benefit of the end user. They are for the manufacturers to lower their overall fleet CO2 to comply with EU standards.

320i is a great all rounder. The 330e adds a significant amount more ‘poke’ but for general duties and and enough swiftness when needed, the 320i is excellent

Yes that was my worry and ultimately why I decided to bypass the 330e as the main reason these were developed was to satisfy the Fleet cars due to tax breaks on emissions.

Yeah had a 320i before but it was a manual, auto all the way now, won't have a manual again unless absolutely no choice in it, would've gone M340 but they were a little more than I wanted to pay monthly

You don’t hang around to make the decision did you?
Nope, needed to get rid of the diesel and we're on holiday next week so had to sort it this week, I'd already had weeks of contemplation about changing the diesel one so once my mind was made it I knew there was only 1 or 2 cars I was likely to go for, the Kuga came out of leftfield as I went to the Ford dealer to actually look at a 320i they had in but someone had already reserved it the morning I went.
