kuhler 650 thermal compound

Anyone know if the pre-applied paste on these is any good? Decided to go for a kuhler as I had a tight budget and I had a 620 a few years ago in my old machine with no issues. Any way should I just leave the compound on it or clean it off and apply some arctic silver?

Not tried different pastes but the pre-applied stuff on my 1250 seems to give broadly similar temps to what I would have expected with AS5 or MX4 on there.
