I assume it's not supposed to rattle? I tried to record the sound it's making a couple of times but I guess it keeps getting filtered out as background noise. I'm certain it isn't anything catching on a fan because there's nothing that could be catching, it sometimes disappears for a bit before starting again. Sticking my head into the case, it sounds like it is coming from the pump, assuming the pump is the thing mounted in the centre of the fan at the end.

Anyone know if there's anything I can do to fix it? I hope so since I don't want to have to go through the process of RMAing it, especially after the hassle it was to get it installed, plus the time I would be without my PC while waiting for the replacement :(

Looks like its not an isolated issue then. i thought i was going mad with mine!. got the same cooler and it just randomly decides to rattle every few hours. kinda sounds like a fan where the bearings are loose? (not a high pitched noice, kinda like a low rumbly rattle)

will be interesting to see what others say as ill be in the same boat with you, not wanting to rma after spending so long getting everythign spot on 0_0

I've just installed mine and am getting the same issue - a buzzing noise like a fridge coming from the unit. I've checked my fans as well, and there's nothing touching any of them. I've also tried mounting the cooler upside down and right way up, neither of which seems to have an effect on it.

EDIT - interesting, I left it on for a couple of hours and the noise has gone. Could this noise just be the cooler bedding in?

Probably an airlock that's worked it's way free.

Ah ok thanks - mine just started happening again when I turned the pc on again, so hope this is just a temporary thing. Has anyone else's noises gone away and come back?

Just as an update, I contacted OCUK support and they advised to RMA it. Sent it back last week and the replacement is out for delivery today, so a great turnaround considering the bank holiday weekend.

I couldn't figure out a way to get rid of the noise, so I'd advise you other chaps on this thread to contact support as well.
