Hi - sorry for two threads but different issues…

I cannot understand how KVM switching is supposed to work with this monitor, any help on this is much appreciated!

The MSI page very clearly states that KVM switching is possible so that you can control two devices with the same mouse etc.

…. But the manual states that the USB-C port deals with signal only and not data transmission.

How is that supposed to work then  - there is only one other upstream port so unless anyone else has a magical solution, how the jeff could you connect a single mouse to two PCs?

Any ideas? Surely the manual is wrong…

Just to update: yes, the monitor KVM works with USB-C, the manual is wrong.

There is a slightly annoying issue when buying this monitor for a mac. It prompts the need to install drivers / software from a disk on the monitor. This will continue to appear every time you switch via KVM until you’ve installed the software on a windows machine… which I can assure you is really annoying until you sort it!

In my case, my MacBook is for work and doesn’t allow external drives, so I had a barrage of ‘this is not allowed’ messages in addition to ‘drive connecting’ messages.

It did seem to resolve, but I’ll confirm if it comes back! Having to install software though… annoying.
