KVM question

I currently have a powerful HTPC setup on my 32" lcd although i would love to also use the same pc on a smaller monitor with higher rez for gaming,
if i were to use a KVM and a set of cable and run them to another room say 10m would ther be much lag between the cables and the system??

Also what are the cons to doing this besides laying the cable which i dont have a prob with?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I misunderstand your question, but doesn't a KVM usually let you share multiple computers on one Keyboard, Video, Mouse - rather than the other way around?

You can get 1port to 2user KVMs they are rare but are available.

you have to make sure the KMV will support the resolution of your TV and your monitor otherwise it would work properly
