KVM switch, but for more than just keyboard and mouse?

So I feel I can't be the only person in this situation, but can't seem to find a decent hardware solution after some internet trawling...

I have my personal computer with 2x monitors connected via DisplayPort (1x 4K @ 60 Hz, 1x 1080p). I also have 6x USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse, DAC, mic, speakers, webcam).
I want to be able to switch these displays and USB peripherals between my personal computer and my work laptop.
So I went looking for KVM switches, and it seems most support 2x displays but with only 2x USB 2.0 ports for keyboard and mouse (hence "KVM" I guess!). Most of those also only support 4K @ 30 Hz via DisplayPort (but often 60 Hz via HDMI). There don't seem to be KVM switches that support a larger number of USB ports, let alone USB 3.x ports.
I guess I could find a KVM and pair it with a USB switch, but that seems inelegant
As far as I can tell a software KVM like Synergy only shares keyboard and mouse, not any other peripherals.

tl;dr
I'm looking for a KVM switch that supports:
  • 2x displays (with 4K @ 60 Hz support, preferably via DisplayPort)
  • 6x USB devices (preferably USB 3.x, but USB 2.0 is probably fine)
Does hardware like this exist? Is there another solution entirely?

Your requirements are probably into the realm of more pricey enterprise kind of kit like the Aten brand and so on.

EDIT: You might find some stuff like DACs, etc. don't like being switched between different systems on the fly - which is why a lot of USB switchers/KVMs are designed around just keyboard and mouse.

You could use a USB hub with the KVM for all the peripherals, but no guarantees things like speakers and DACs will play nice with a USB hub.

KVMs that support high refresh rates & high resolutions get pretty expensive.

Have you considered using some kind of remote desktop software instead to simply control the laptop through the main PC?

I'm in a similar boat with just four peripherals that I need to share. My monitors support multiple display inputs so I let the monitors sort out the image, and instead of a KVM I bought a Cable Matters 4 port USB switch with remote. The setup works perfectly. If I had a little more cash to spare, I'd think about purchasing a couple of monitors with USB hub and upstream connections. Something like a Dell P2421.

Thanks for the replies

Bit of a shame KVM switches with lots of USB ports don't exist.
Also, understood regarding the DAC, will set my expectations accordingly.

Having a look at the rainforest, there seem to be some DisplayPort/HDMI dual head KVM options with 4x USB 2.0 ports for ~£130-160 with decent enough reviews. I might give one of those a go and see if I can ditch a couple of my peripherals. Maybe rely on the laptop mic and not bother with the DAC/speakers.
I'm pretty sure that regardless of DP or HDMI (via adapters if necessary) that I'll still get 4K 60 Hz as long as I get HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.4.

@BurningHorizons do you only ever have one computer powered on at a time? I'd guess that would make the display auto source detect work well?

Sorry to dredge up an old thread.

In case it helps anyone else I ended up with the following:
  • 2x port DP 1.4 switch for my first monitor (4K 60Hz)
  • 3x port HDMI 2.0 switch for my second monitor (1440p 60 Hz, bonus 3rd input to let me hook in my Nintendo Switch)
  • 2x port USB 3 switch with 7x port USB 3 hub
I now press 3 buttons when switching between computers and it works very reliably.
Next step is to design an enclosure for the rats nest of wires that I've created and 3D print it!
