I have a Edimax K-UAK4 switch that I use at home during the day to share a keyboard, mouse and screen between my laptop and PC. However when I play games I disconnect the keyboard and mouse to go directly into the PC because the KVM will maybe once during a session switch to the other pc. This defeats the purpose a little bit, although when I want to game I tend to not have the laptop up and running in any case.
The problem is not exclusive to when I'm playing games, however this is the only time when I really care that it happens.
I have used a few KVM switches at work as well, and I have experienced similar issues with them all. Anyone else seen this and have any advice of something else to use to be more reliable?
