KZ2 + Mouse/Keyboard

Hi all,

I can't for the life of me do a proper search on this matter, and google is being absolutely useless to me today...

Please bash me if this question has been asked and answered before, but..

Is Killzone 2 playable with a keyboard and a mouse?

Nope not unless you buy some special device like a XIM or FragFX not sure how it would perform with either of them though.

There must be a update or patch coming up.
I am sure sony is reciving lost enquiries about this.
I will give it some time. The game is still new.

Why must there? As far as i know UT3 is the only PS3 game that has mouse support. I can't see why they would be adding it to Killzone 2 when they haven't added it to Resistance 1 and 2 and all the other FPS.

Get a headset then?

There's no valid reason to allow a mouse and keyboard on a game designed to be used with a pad on a console. If you can't play with a pad, just practice or go back to the PC.

Wow so much angst!

In this day and age where the boundaries of PC/HTPC/MediaPlayers/MP3Players/Consoles are getting fuzzier and fuzzier as days go by, I don't see any reason why a keyboard+mouse combo as an input device is so much frowned upon, or the notion that keyboard+mouse is only exclusive to a computer.

You said the game is "designed" to be used with a pad, but then what about Call of Duty 4? This game came out on different platforms including PC, and how much more of a different game is CoD4 on PS3 or on PC? I mean, did they have to have two game designs where CoD4 on PS3 is "designed" for a pad and CoD4 on PC is "designed" for a mouse+keyboard?

I don't mean to start a flamewar, I simply asked if a certain game on PS3 allows for a keyboard and a mouse. You have your reason to love your gamepad on an FPS, I have my reason to love my keyboard+mouse on an FPS. Leave it at that.
