So this is a title i didnt pick up when it was released
and was wondering what people thought of it?
was it a flop or a winner?
not sure if to get it on Xbox360 or PC, hmmm ?

Do the cars drive like poo like in GTA?
and is the shooting hard?

cheers.

I thought it was pretty fun, it's nothing like GTA really so don't expect that.

It's main drawback for me was similar to Bioshock, the high point of the game is about 90% way through.

its well worth a play through. If only to experience the graphics.
Its more like mafia2 than gta imo, more of a set story with an element of freeplay thrown in as you can pick up crimes when driving around over the police radio but there,s a limited amount of these.

I left it quite late in the day to pick it up but i'm really glad i played it

Good game, promised to be better than it was. I thought the story was dull and un-involving though. Worth picking up cheap.

If they could use the same engine to make a 70s version = winrar.

Can you use the Xbox360 pad to play the PC version ?

You can, but it’s badly optimised and runs at a capped 30fps and is hardly any better looking apart from higher res then the 360 or Ps3 version IMO.

If you want to play this game, get the console version the PC version was just a poor console port, the game is capped to 30fps due to the facial animation they used within the game…

I thought the game was ok, but it soon got boring real quick.

drives better than GTA 4

Haha, no. Not at all, the driving in LA Noire is hopeless. It makes the obligatory driving levels in third-person shooters look like Gran Turismo.

As for the game itself, it's an interesting concept but once the novelty wears off there's nothing to keep you interested. The characters are all terrible people, the storyline is rubbish and the interrogation system is essentially broken, because the options were changed at the last minute by the developer.
