L.A. Noire

I liked it but it felt mixed up to me. The game should have progressed and ended in homicide as I think that story is the best part of the game. That said I have always been a fan of black dahlia themed mysteries.

but GTA 4 has terrible driving, Noire is more smooth

The cars in L.A Noire handle like shopping trolleys, I'm yet to find a car that represents an actual car in terms of physics, they're dire. GTA IV is far better in my opinion, in GTA you can look at a vehicle and have a pretty good idea of how it will handle, SUV's handle how you'd expect, trucks have proper weight behind them, the rip-offs of the supercars all have a nice feel to them as well. The Ferrari 360 clone feels like it should, the Murcielago has it's own character for example. The only vehicles which I hated were the bikes, they just felt completely wrong to me.

L.A Noire on the other hand has horrific handling, each car feels like a boat.

Agree with the above, GTA4's vehicle handling is a bit tricky to master at first but it feels far more real and genuine compared to any other open world game I've played. LA Noire doesn't come close, the cars feel the same at 5mph as they do at 50, and the steering is ridiculous. It's nearly as bad as Saints Row.

LA Noire was a good idea ruined by repetitive gameplay and a boring story. Shame as I always want to see new ideas for games do well :(

I really liked it. Going by this thread I guess it's just one of those Marmite games then. I enjoyed the clue finding part of the game and interviews. Story I thought was fine as well. I agree that it is a little repetitive but I played it over several weeks in short bursts so it never really a big stopping point for me at all. A lot of the car driving can be skipped if you don't like that and just want to get the crimes. Can be picked up for cheap I'm sure now so it's defiantly worth a try.
