I got this unit here:

https://www.wayfair.co.uk/Premier-Eden-38-x-145cm-Wall-Mounted-Cabinet-REQ2771.html

it didn't come with anything to hang this on to the wall but they mentioned L brackets in the poor documentation.

i had a look on screwfix and they got them cheap what I don't understand is how do the L brackets work? which screws would I need and rawlplugs etc? I get the l bracket goes on to the wall and then somehow i screw the l bracket to the unit but not sure how the rest works.

I got 4 holes in the back of the unit so it looks like 4 screws I might make this 6.

It's quite a heavy unit going above the bath on strong porcelain tiles. I need something strong to hold it in place ftw. please let me know what y'all think.

What is it being screwed into?

L brackets you can either place under so it sits on them, or put them internally so it screws through the bracket at the top of the cabinet, or use them above hte cabinet to help stop it falling down

If its already got concealed fixings internally personally I would just beef them up with really significant fixings if you can

hi I don't think it has any internal concealed fixings just wood on the back
bit dissapointed.

screwd into the wall (brick walls) and tiles

I was thinking of two L plates on top
two on the bottom
then 2 screws inside for normal rawl plugs etc.

what screws do I need to attach the L plate to the wall and cabinet? Would M type screws be better for me?

Its hard to say mate as obviously cant see what your dealing with, but I would go with something like this rather than an L bracket

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-CORNE...ANGLE-FIXING-CUPBOARD-WALL-UNIT-/122009619337

Put one in each top corner. Use something really meaty into the wall, like http://www.screwfix.com/p/fischer-nylon-hammerfix-8-x-100mm-50-pack/33940 assuming its a solid wall as you say brick

Then use some small screws to just support the rest against the brackets, if you think its chipboard inside use chip screws, or if wood some decent wood screws, just watch your lengths!

If the middle shelf is fixed I would do the same there, if not depending on height maybe something underneath the cabinet, like a piece of wood to match the skirting

All the assumes your comfortable the unit is solid when put together

thanks for that I might end up standing this cabinet on top of behind the bath (2 screws in wall to hold it in(
as it is pretty heavy to be suspended higher up.
