L200 or hilux surf?

A friend just phoned me at work and he wants advice on which on to get - he planning on doing a fianace or import (dont know whether they do l200 in import though). I dont have a clue aboout this vehicle can you guys help out? thanks

What are the pros and cons, which is better overall, economy, maintance etc??

Well my friend has a diesel Hilux Surf automatic, and it would cost her £100 in diesel to drive 300 miles

Sod that!!

Her mates L200 uses much less fuel than her Surf.

IMO the L200 is pretty rubbish.

Whats the budget?

The ride on the l200 is good, but other than that its poorly finished and the 2.5TD is weak.

If funds allow, go for a good surf or even better a nissan navara...
