L4D 2 Demo problem

I seem to be having a little bit of grief with this game on steam.

Picture speaks a thousand works! Well not quite...but...

Anyone else have this trouble? Or knows how to sort it out? :/

I have no idea how to fix it, but as far as im aware people on the offical steam forums have had this problem.

Only problem i get with steam is slow loading times (like 10 minutes to login, the most its ever took is 1/2 hour) and sometimes when i update games / steam client it just stops updating till i reload steam

Yea i had that as well.

My 12mb update froze on 3mb to i restarted steam and i get the above error now :/

Update...
Deleting the ClientRegistry.blob has solved it, then logging out and back in to steam.

I'm having a game not completely installed issue or something. The (2) variety. First it was delayed, then it wouldn't sync to decrypt it's files and now it doesn't work.

The demo can get lost

And I have tried everything suggested on the forums, I think it doesnt like Windows 7 64 bit personally, some have it working but seeing many complaints from x64 users.

I'm W7 64b and so is my buddy and we have no problems at all. Different graphics cards too.

I have one friend who has had game crashes on his ATI 4870X2 but when playing in windowed mode it doesn't crash.

I think there are quite a few bugs to be ironed ouT
