L4Dead - keyboard issue?

I have a Razer Blackwidow keyboard and am having an issue with L4D. Sometimes (quite often actually!) i'll direction move and it's as if the key has stuck and i keep moving in that direction - quite annoying when you are walking along a ledge or something and you suddenly fly off to your death.

Not sure if anyone can help - but any idea what may be causing this?

I will try a different keyboard at some point, but haven't done that yet.

any razer software installed?
can you check the offending key with a app?or maybe can you pull the key and clean?
check L4D key settings?

is `repeat`set to on in windows keyboard maybe?
does it do the same in other games?

I turned down the key repeat as it was set to max - didn't help. I'll see if I can turn it off completely.

I don't play any other games as my potato pc won't play them.

you could find a low game to try?maybe one of the earlier serious sam games,those are fun,to test

Turned key repeat all the way down, still the same.

I think it's maybe the keyboard or steam? I've had this keyboard a few months now and it's only started happening in the last few weeks. Very annoying when you throw yourself off a building or ledge

I just loaded up steam and L4D 1 for you
I get a `slight`movement continuation on arrow keys as well.It is not a lot mind,but perhaps it is what you are experiencing?
I play using a `claw` game controller for all my games so i cannot be sure if it was always an issue with keyboard
MS Natural Pro keyboard here

When it kicks in, say left, I can take my fingers off the key and it will continue going left until I hit another key.

Sounds like sticky keys is enabled
Can you try a different keyboard?
Maybe look at ease of access settings.keyboard.filter keys

Sooooo, sticky keys was off, but there was an option I hadn't seen before - press shift 5 times to enable sticky keys.

As shift is my crouch button, this may be why it only happens every now and again. I've unchecked that box and the game seems OK tonight.
