I have 1 of these available to me at the moment, am I right in thinking these particular steppings are great clockers ?

Si :)

Having said that Si - your e6400 isn't doing too bad! Nice clock mate!

You managed to get any more at a higher voltage pal?

gt

Thanks guys :)

Gt, I'm still struggling to get 3.5 Ghz stable at the moment matey, I could probably get it there but it looks like it would require more than 1.5Vcore, not sure I want to run it 24/7 at that much voltage, unless I get some water cooling ofcourse :D

Well get that e6600 then! :D

Can't wait to get mine to see what it can do!

Incidentally, how much you been offered that chip for? If you're lucky you'll see 3.6ghz+ on decent air!

I just hope i can do 3.5 on mine! It's lapped and will be going under a lapped Typhoon so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Well I bought it :p

First boot @ 3.6Ghz (1.431v) 30mins Orthos stable and still going :D

Wonder how much I can get out of this 1 !

Wow! Awesome chip and a good voltage for that clock too! What you hoping to get out of her? 3.8ish?

What temps are you getting under orthos by the way?

gt

Hmm, seems to want quite a bit more vcore for anything over 3.6Ghz, havnt yet got it stable in Orthos above 3.6 I've even tried up to 1.49vcore no joy.

Still, early days :) Any suggestions ?

Sorry, this CPU thread has turned into a bit of an Overclocking thread now :o

I take it the memory is linked. What's the fsb presently and have you upped the nb and sb voltages at all? Might be worth waiting for someone like w3bbo or easyrider to give you a heads up as i'm just recalling stuff they've mentioned! :p

If your temps are good i think you're ok up to 1.55v aren't you - seem to remember someone stating that was intels recommended max.

Again, wait and see or post another thread in the overclocking section! ;)

Great work so far tho!

What volts are you using for 3.8ghz and what stepping do you have ?
My current L32A needs 1.4v for 3.6.
Thanks
