Hi,

I've just got my first tft which is the EIZO Flexscan L685 its 18.1 inch...

I try and set it to 1280 x 1024 which is the recommend resoultion and keep getting a signal error....

Does anyone know why?

Sys specs: AMD 64 3500 NewCastle. 1gig Ram, Nvidia Geforce 4 4600ti, 2x 200g hdd

At the moment I am using 1152 x 864 as any bigger than this I keep getting signal error msg on scree...

When I receive signal error the screen becomes narrower and the monitor will not let me confirm the recommend settings.

Please help.....

Thanks in advance...

you might well be tryin g to run it at too high a refresh rate. Make sure you're at 60Hz and then try 1280 x 1024. should be ok then hopefully :)

prob was I didnt set the res to 1280 x 1024 on the graphics card settings.....

I've sorted it now works a treat....

Its like having a new monitor looks brill :-) getting the benefits from it now as opposed to before....

thanks for your advice

There are other settings, things I dont even understand in nvidia desktop manager which may improve the quality further but I don't have a clue what to do.......Any suggestions???

I have noticed my mouse scrolls slightly less slower than previous since I have set my screen res to 1280 x 1024....is this common?

Pc seems to need to think that extra second which I can almost feel....Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Please help

Thanks

Hmm, well according to this , the quoted response time is 40ms!

Maybe that has something to do with your mouse lag.

I'm pretty sure this monitor was discontinued a while back. Did you buy it new or 2nd hand?

thanks guys....

Bubbysoup so I guess sometime soon I need a better tft :(

Thanks for that link badass very informative indeed I never knew any of those things I will look at monitors in a diff light from now.....

I am suprised to learn that manufacturers response times can be inaccurate due to several diff reasons...

Thanks really appreciate it guys

Cheers!
