A while back there was a thread where it was suggested that it's possible to check a MAF sensor using scan data. At the time I couldn't remember which youtube video I had seen which demonstrates how a scan tool (like a dedicated scanner i.e. snap-on solus or VAG COM) can miss glitches, and how you really need a lab scope to see certain types of fault.
Well, here it is. The important bit is about 5:20 onwards, it shows a scope vs scan tool.
No fault codes set that are specific to the fault either. It's showing a 'Signal low' code for some reason, even though the peak when glitching is actually high.
