So I have not seen much talk about this monitor.

Does anyone have it, and what do they think?

I know its quite expensive, but is there a noticeable quality jump over monitors such as the dell and benq?

This will knock the pants off Dell and Benq for image quality. It is meant to be used in an a professional environment where accurate colour reproduction is essential for production. :)

Thats good to know because im thinking about getting one. How would you say it performs as an all round monitor? For example games, HD films and of course where it excels photoshop, after effects etc.

I think that unless you are into a colour production environment, then it is a waste of money.

If you're buying a 324 you're not going to be using it as an all-round monitor. It's colour accuracy and image quality first, everything else second. Well, as long as you pair it with a suitable hardware calibration unit.

It sounds like you might be better off with one (or two) of the 24" Dell screens - personally I'd pick up a 2407 A04 for the all-round aspects and a 2408 if you need the extended gamut.

I guess I should have been clearer in what I was asking. The monitor will primarily be used for photoshop, after effects, avid express pro, adobe premier but I will also be wanting to use the monitor for High def films and occasional gaming. Obviously this monitor excels in the gxf world where colour accuracy is needed, but does it perform equaly as well as a film and gaming monitor, and how does it compare in these areas to the high end dell and benqs?

Thanks.

What colour space will you be working in? sRGB or Adobe?

If it's the former, I'd be sorely tempted by trying to track down a revision A04 version of Dell's 2407 monitor. Calibrated with the appropriate hardware unit (LaCie Blue Eye Pro or GretagMacBeth/X-rite Eye-One Display 2) it's stunningly accurate and would work pretty well for games and movies.

If you're needing the larger colour space, it might be worth checking out this which is about all I could find on the 324 and shows some information about input lag. Not sure how that compares to Dell's 2408 24" screen.
