Lack of Benchmarks

I've looked everywhere; guru, Tom's Hardware etc but I can't find a benchmark that compares 7800GTX 7800GT 7900GT 7900GTX X1800 X1900XT X1900XTX etc.

I can't believe how close they all are, but it looks like X1900XT is the best value/power card.

Yeah, with this generation it seems to be totally dependant on price when it comes to making the final decision. All the cards are just so much alike that there's not much else to distinguish them from one-another.

The Radeons get an advantage at higher resolutions with AA+AF but it's a minimal FPS increase really. If I were in your position, I would've personally just kept my 7800GTX really.

Yeah I kind of regretted it once the bloke I sold it to sent the money, but it was too late.

Understandable, it happens sometimes. Just have to keep in mind to check for benchmarks in future (ask the folks here) before buying or selling.

In your shoes I'd go for the X1900XT at the moment, if I wanted top-end and not cheaping out like I usually do. Good price-performance in comparison to the rest, good IQ, not really heard any bad reports about them. Definitely not worth £50+ for the extra -X.

That's what I'm doing. I know for fact that at Christmas I'll upgrade my GFX card again so I don't see the point in spending too much. The -X thing is just ridiculous tbh. The benchmarks show a pathetically small difference between the XT and the XTX; certainly not justified by an extra £50.
