Lack of monitors with Freesync 2??

I’ve gone on the AMD website and found not many new monitors are on their list. Is there a reason for this? Seems off for example Acer would opt for Freesync original on their new monitors

It's cheaper for them to produce screens to the original Freesync standard. Most buyers don't care / know the difference between the 2 standards perhaps?
