lack of sound...

Just upgraded my system today (new mobo Ocuk value IP35-S)

Vista is not playing any sound, however my mixer is showing sound going through my "digital output device, SPDIF", I cannot find any option to see it to the normal speaker output!

I only have a normal set of speakers,

I cannot find any option/way to get my sound on....

Looks like your speakers aren't actually being picked up, see here:

Default device should be "Speakers" not "Digital Output".

I trust you've tried reinstalling/updating drivers?

yes I have, and I cannot work out how to fix this.

Mobo is a ocuk value ip35-s

Have you also tried reinstalling chipset drivers, I know they have quite a bit to do with on-board stuff.

Good think Craig.

This may also be due to just upgrading my rig and not being bothered to fresh install Vista.

Will try chipset reinstall! then maybe a full format!
