anyone heard lacuna coil's latest album "karmacode"? i just got it yesterday, and it's one of the best i've bought in years!
tbh, i was never really a big fan of their older stuff. found it all a bit bland, but their latest effort is well worth a listen. lots of energy and dark yet [colorful] at the same time.

It's a little too like Korn. Not necessarily a bad thing but I actually prefer Comalies.
 
just got tickets to see these guys at my local gig venue 3 mins from my house :D

already saw them at the beginning of this year (or end of last) at the scala in london, but might aswell see them again :p
 
I like Comalies, but haven't heard the new album.
Heard them on some music channel live at Download and they sounded a bit crap but obviously telly's not going to convey the performance properly.
 
I love them now....got the new album before Download which is quite good. They were great at Download...seeing them in October in Sheffield now :)
 
I wish the Andrea guy stopped insisting on his vocal parts all together. Virtually every good Lacuna Coil track is Cristina's sung track and that dude's vocal range is so miserable he could only front a village tribute band to late, depeche mode'ish productions of Paradise Lost.
Cristina made the whole new genre in metal, but they couldn't decide on what act do they want to be and so now they are seen as something that sounds sometimes like Evanescence and sometimes like nu-metal boyband.
 
tuomas doesnt sing in nightwish, its the bass marco (i think thats his name) player that does the male vocals. and he has a hell of a good voice on him! i think i like the songs where he sings best :p

ah i see. i thought it was the songwriter that also did vocals.. well either way, male vocals should stay out of coil and nightwish songs imo! :p
although i admit beauty and the beast was a good one. it's just that tarja completely eclipses the guy with her talent.

Bought Karmacode on the day of release, as I'd been well hyped up for it. Fell in love with it right away. It's not as good as Comalies or Unleashed imo but its still great to listen to. Fragile rocks! :)

but seriously, fragile, to the edge, our truth, closer and enjoy the silence are all awesome songs! :cool:

well, that is they're my current favourites, not that the other tracks aren't good too.
