Lad from my school died in afghanistan today

very sad really i didnt know him personally but saw him around all the time, he was in the year above me. its weird because i saw it on the news and didnt recognise him until i went on facebook and saw photos of him on friends pages without army kit was quite a shock

As awful as it is that service men and women die, they know the nature of the beast.

Deaths during conflicts is much lower now than it was 100 years ago, hell even 40 years ago.
