"Lads" and "banter"

I thought this was the fault of Dave (Tv channel).

'Witty banter' - the truly witless' attempt and elevating themselves over the hoi poloi...

The return of 'banter' to popular usage is presumably in large part attributable to:

Not really, considering that those videos are about people who talk like that. It's not as if they invented a style and then it got copied. Although they did spark off a few really un-funny spoofs...by the people being made fun of in the first place. Reminded me of all the chavs suddenly saying "but am I bovvered though" after Little Britain as if they were somehow in on the joke.

I find the over use of "Comedy" more irritating.

"It was such a comedy night"
"OMG he's so comedy!"
"Want to go out for a few comedy drinks?"

The people who say it deserve to be beaten with a claw hammer.

Where I live substitute Comedy for Joke.

"Oh he's so joke"

WTF!

Bare? How do you mean?

Bare as in lots of jokes ie that was bare jokes which in english and not chav speaks means it was lots of jokes etc...well thats my take on it when i hear it being said by the younger generation....sometimes i just want to smack their heads upside down:p.

**** for a 38 yr old i know an awful lot of chav speak:p...scary stuff:eek:
