So me and a group of mates are looking to go on holiday for a week in the summer. We're all 17-18 and this will be our first time away together. We're not sure exactly how many of us are going but it will probably be somewhere between 6-10. Was just wondering what peoples recommendations are for places to go, what companies to use and just general advice. We're looking for basically a clubbing holiday so we're thinking magaluf, falaraki, the usual places really. We obviously want it to be not too expensive as we're poor students :p

Anything anyone can tell us would be great.

Were all going to Magaluf in July / August (away for my bday owww yea :D) we booked flight and Apartment separate worked out a lot cheaper than going into travel agents total holiday was about £550 for 2weeks self catering. There’s about 8 of us going should be BUZZIN, am soooo excited hehe.
The 18-30's holidays never tickled my fancy TBH !!!
I would book up ASAP like, when we went into the travel agents there wasn’t much in our price range left nor was dare much selection on the net.

Been to Ibiza (club 18-30) Magaluf, Amsterdam and Newquey for lads holidays.

If your after just a really good time getting drunk and partying I would recommend Magaluf out of the ones i've been to. Ibiza I though was run down, dirty and overall didn't enjoy the holiday nearly as much.

Didn't really enjoy the club 18-30 (well i was only 16 at the time) as it involved getting plastered every night+day and doing all of the activities they had arranged for us, but we sure did get very very drunk and club a lot. Would much rather organise our own fun now mind.

If you can manage to wangle a slightly off-peak break (right at the end of August/early September) then Thomas Cook (18-30) do some stonking late deals as long as you don't mind basic accomodation. Make sure you fill the apartments because they're one of the worst for under occupancies. Do NOT avoid the 1S rated ones either, some have pools, aircon, the lot.

Thomson Freestyle properties have annoyingly been shoved in the Skytours brochure with all the flotsum and jetsum, ones to keep an eye out for are the Fiesta Jungla (Magaluf) and the Club Paraiso (San Antonio) The Club Paraiso is very nice aparthotel actually, and the Jungla comes highly recommended by my mates. If you can manage late June or early July with these you can again get some good bargains.

I'd avoid First Choice 2wenties and Airtours Escapades - facsimiles of the real thing and not as cheap either. Airtours are good for low under occs though.

Oh - and take light flights. Most operators will have a selection of day flights and night flights, bite the bullet and take the crap flight times because it can often save you over £100 per person. And if you're in Magaluf you may want to ditch transfers at £15 each and get some quotes for a taxi. Just a thought.

I have stayed in the Jungla, its a big place with the pool in the centre and the apartment blocks around the side, its 4 levels high and the rooms are quite unless you get some body shouting and slaming the heavy doors at night but you will be wasted and wont really notice the noise.

Look out for Juan Sebastian Veron the security guard (im not joking he is the spits) The only thing the security guards are bothered about is noise after 11pm so no cd players on in your room. They dont bother about damage and dont charge you €30 for a plywood bed.

This year we are staying in the opposite Fiesta building this year, which is more faimly based but has a better pool.
