so since NTL did there maintenance a couple of days ago i've had really crap ping on my favourite Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault server which is......

Game-Hosting.com: Scand. War 100mbps(dmw3.v2 only)|205ms|194.17.45.77:12203

and nothing i've can do / think of is changin that ping so i've done a tracert and wondered if you guys could look at it for me and tell me if anything is wrong ?

Thanks :D

Looks like a dodgy link between ntl and telia - bugger all you can do about it. You could report it to ntl, but I wouldn't expect them to be in the slighest bit bothered.

Wouldn't be so sure it's not an NTL issue...

--- 194.17.45.77 ping statistics ---
100 packets transmitted, 100 received, 0% packet loss, time 100102ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 27.793/28.654/32.499/0.750 ms

Sure, some of the devices in the middle give silly pings, but they're not what you're interested in.

I believe tolien is saying that is getting rubbish pings to that IP as well (he is non ntl)

32ms isn't really that bad, though it wasn't coming from a box on the end of an ADSL connection :p

What I was implying was that those pings weren't bad, so it could be a dodgy NTL route. I'm am, however, getting weird spikes in the middle - but
