lag issues

so i got my other half a graphic card for xmas aswell as new memory as he was lacking in both areas..

now he got serious lag when he plays games after starting the computer... the problem dissapear if he restarts the computer.. and back again next day.

completely reinstalled windows from scratch but the issue is still there.

appriciate any idea or input on what could be done to fix this.

most games. like world of warcraft, fortnight, overwatch yeah games like that.
he got the intel i5 cpu with amd rx 580 graphics. he got new memory of 16 gb aswell. as we thought it was was hes old 8 gb that was messing up so we bought 2 new sticks.
 
I think that might be it. Its same psu since the day he bought hes alienware Aurora r2....... old. Very old. So not sure about make but I would give that a guess. Thank you. I start there :)
