I have a MSI G62VR GRF apache pro that i bought 9 years ago, its working good for professional use but as soon as i use chrome, whether its a video call or especially a basic youtube or facebook video it lags and takes some time. Eventually it does start but if i then pause it for some time it does it all again. Is it the RAM? Or else what could it be?
(i did a basic OCCT RAM test that showed no errors)

Are all your drivers up to date? Check process monitor when this is happening to see what is going on.

Are you using a SSD? What is the drive health like? Use CrystalDiskInfo to check it.

Maybe even do a clean install...

So i updated my gtx 1060 using nvidia cleaninstall, tried to update cpu and the 2023 version of the I7-6700HQ didnt even start so i tried the 2021 version but after restart it restarts the process, so i checked driver version and its still the 2009 one. The health of RAM is "good" on that program. Still no change for now

Hi and welcome.

What network speed are you getting ?

If using WiFi try an ethernet cable direct to the router from your laptop.

get firefox, or even the hated built in microsoft edge browser then come back, at least that will rule the browser out, for all I know, you have a zillion chrome addons with umpteen tabs being opened every time you open chrome or you have umpteen chrome addoons, which begs the question, do you?
