Lag spikes in game / streaming

I'm getting lag spikes in TF2 on a homeplug network when someone else is streaming BBC iplayer/tvcatchup. It's 14Mb sky with a netgear dg834gt router.

I need to sort this. Would a new router (Draytek ???) sort it out or is there another way??
