Lag Spikes In game When on wireless network

Netgear DG834G. Make sure you have restarted your machine. I don't know if it would be a setting on your router, it is definitely a Windows thing. You need to look around the net for an answer. I will tell you one thing though - I still game on a wired connection because it is much more reliable and stable. For everything else, I use wireless.
 
it could be the WLAN Service that is constantly trying to find a new connection ever 60 seconds or so - if i could find another utility like belkins ones that supported vista then i would be fine

There is ure problem in the question. wireless is'nt much cop for gameing really and it doesnt help having a belkin router either
 
Thats great news, out of interest what pings do you get ingame on wireless?

I'm thinking of getting a gaming laptop in the new year?
 
Anything like that for XP?

The application for the missus' laptop wireless is a pain in the arse you see and I'd rather use Zero and have lag.
 
use a very similar usb belkin adapter and get the same issues myself - would be interested to see if anything applies to XP and not just vista
