Is there any lag when using wifi (802.11ac/802.11n) over cable connection?

I am using wifi 802.11ac connection while gaming and I don't notice any lag but just wanted to know if there is such a thing as input lag similar to input lag on monitors?

Thanks

Err..... not sure as to what you are actually asking but any type of wireless connection will have an increase in latency compared to actually being wired up to the router/switch directly is can sometimes be noticed as being very similar to lag.

The latency over wireless will always be more than if it was cabled in unless you are using a really bad cable.

The water gets muddied when people use powerline adapters which add latency and aren't really a "true" cabled connection.

The "lag" you are referring to is different to how a monitor has input lag but for names sake they are referring to the same thing overall, a delay from signal input to response.

If you are gaming, try to use a cabled connection, doesn't matter how fast your wireless connection is, the response times are what counts and they will be more if using wireless than they are wired.
