recently ive had a lot of trouble with my keyboard lagging. I have a logitech MX5000 and i thought it was down to the bluetooth conection, however i am currently using a wired PS2 keyboard (also logitech - Media desktop or something) and its also laggy. As im typing the letters would appear as normal for a few seconds the stop and catch up again.

This doesnt happen all on a fresh boot, but start to happen after about 24hrs of uptime. a reboot will fix it but thats starting to get tedious, especially if im in the middle of something.

any ideas?

does it happen at any time, or only when specific programs are open?
Some flash ads really kill my PC, there were a couple (Matrix online iirc) on Stratics and other sites that were badly coded and basically causing causing the browsers to use almost all the CPU time, with the result systems felt laggy and it could/did delay typing at times.

its laggy with almost 0% on the CPU. loads of memory free too. (i got 2gb total)
even if i close down a lot of the programs running its still laggy

Are you using a DFI NF4 motherboard?

I had similar problems where I'd be playing a game and then all of a sudden the keys would go funny and would take a couple of seconds to catch up with each key press. Took me ages to find out, but it was one of the memory settings in the bios.

no, its an old(ish) ASUS P4C800E - Deluxe. i have just upgraded to 2gb or ram, could that really be it? i think it may have been laggy before i upgraded though.
