Laggy PC Problems

For a while my mouse has been not as smooth as it used to be and it is noticeably laggy on screen, also flash games are laggy and the only other game I've played recently is Football Manager and that is also quite laggy.

This problem seems to go away after a reboot, but after a few hibernates it starts lagging again.

So what could be making it like this?

I would check the power connectors to the GPU first. The only time I have experienced something like that was when I was trying to run an 8800GS with a 300W PSU.

A 550W *should* be enough for an HD7950, but I suppose a similar sort of thing might happen if one of the connectors has come loose somehow.

As above i would also make sure memory is sitting properly as well

Could be the Video driver not resuming from hibernate properly. Try a driver uninstall and update to a newer version.
