Hi, for the past few weeks (no changes in hardware etc but no idea if there was a windows update) the computer at work has a sticky cursor it feels like lag as if the computer is under a load that’s causing everything to slow but the Cpu and memory are at less than 50% load the whole time. The slower you move the mouse the more often it gets stuck for instance a quick swipe across the screen it will lag once but going slow more like 3 or 4 times.
it was running dual display of an old 610 GPU and if I set the display to single and restarted the computer it would be fine until the next time I restarted (even if I left it at one display). This led me to think it was a display driver issue or something and with this card being so old it would make sense as there isn’t even Windows 10 compatible drivers although it’s been working fine with Win7 ones. I have now removed the card and have it running from the onboard HDMI and yet it still persists.
I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse driver.
Hoping someone has some suggestions on things I can try.
