I have a new system and using this pump with plexiglass pro top and res. I know res decreases performance but helps loads so happy.

Its just the first one stopped working after 2 weeks, so bought a new one.
Have just been bleeding the system and this ones stopped after less than a days use!!!

Is there a quality problem with this pump? Or am I jinxed to never water cool a PC?!!!

ive not heard of any problems with these pumps, and mine is working rock solid. you have to make sure you dont ever run it dry as that will just ruin it. you may have an item that is very restrictive and causing cavitation but the res should stop that. sorry i cant help any further

Try putting some sponge in the res to stop bubble getting into the pump

My system does as it only bleeds not even half the system without it running, plus having a 120.2 rad in the top means it must run to force the air out.

After a few starts the bulk of the air is out, then run it for 12 hours to leak test and final purging, but this pump gave up after about the 9th start!!

Bugger n dam!!

of course you have to have the pump running to properly bleed the system if its not at the highest point in your loop.

I also had a DDC-1+ die on me during normal operation, however I did recieve a replacement via RMA without any fuss..

How long are you leaving the pump between restarts? Wonder if there is a problem with the pump motor and starting tolerances.

Some air in the system should not cause too many problems for a decent pump, your always going to get it when bleeding.

I have the Laing DDC-1 plus too and havn't had any problems with it so far, I've never had any air go through it however due to having a large res just before it in the loop.
