Dear all,

I have replaced the original pump on my trusty EKWB Predator 240 with an Alphacool Laing DDC310.

Now, I'm running into the issue where it's producing quite a lot of noise, so much that it drowns out any fan noise by a lot. I have attached a video I made, to give you an idea of the noise.

Is this how this pump is supposed to sound, could it be faulty, or did I do something wrong in the installation?

Thanks a ton for any help!

Best,

Ties

It's possible there's some air trapped in it, hard to see your loop layout. If it's at the top of the loop, try and get something above it where air can collect, like a radiator tank.

Even if there are no large air pockets in the pump, I've found my DDC quietens down over the first few hours of running. I suppose small bubbles slowly make their way out of the pump.

Basically, start and stop it and move the build around/tilt it for a while then see if it improves.
