Ok according to many (but not all) Lair isnt that great to play, but ive found 2 things out today.
1St is you plug in an USB controller, ie Dual shock 2 via converter you can fly with the analog sticks!
2nd If you have a PSP you can remote play lair
Its not been mentioned anywhere and i was very skeptical about it (still am) but according to this http://boardsus.playstation.com/pla...&thread.id=7613&view=by_date_ascending&page=1
and http://onaxis.blogspot.com/2007/09/lair-on-psp-remote-play.html
its true, im still not convinced though i think that there just playing the videos through remote play, but theres a few people saying it works now! Someone got this on order from the states and has a PSP can they try it when it arrives.

Well I have it on order from the states, and I have a Dual Shock 2, but no converter :(

Edit: they don't mentoned the PS2 pad do they? If it was confirmed I'd get the USB converter because I'm not liking the sound of the 6-axis.

Well jaffa, its an extra feature that doesn't cost anything extra to the person that has a ps3 and a psp. Also while Lair is definitely not the best game to showcase the feature it reveals possibilities that could be better served by a different title/s and different genres.

How about playing abit of little big planet through remote play while at work, or finishing a quest on FF13 while in a stabucks waiting for the train or something. And with the firmware guys at sony saying that they are going to implement a wake on lan feature for ps3 for remote play why bemoan the fact of extra functionality for the machine that does so much already.

Media server capabilities on the move streamed from pc - ps3 - psp. or with the new psp with tv out, how about being in a hotel with access to wireless, turning on the ps3 from stand by, connecting the tv out from the psp and playing just for conversation sake some MGS4. Now the MGS4 bit is wishful thinking and yeah the experience would be degraded in terms of visuals / audio. But seems cool to me.

i see so its possible that they could make it stream ps3 game over the internet to a psp on wifi ?

If so thats great, but from experience wiith VNC, lag maybe a bit of an issue ?

I dunno Im not sure Ive ever been that desperate to play a game I couldnt just wait till im home. Id rather they made good PSP games than a remote screen for the ps3.

Still, I can see why its a good idea and hopefully its the kind of tech that in a gen or two will be common place and fully functional with faster networks.

Its basically streaming a video to the PSP, very clever and would be great to play PS1 / PS2 / PS3 games on your PSP in bed!

There is a small amount of lag, but it looks stunning.

surely the bandwidth on a wi-fi connection wouldnt be able to handle a blu-ray game streaming? and the PSP wouldnt be able to process the PS3 games would they?

It has nothing to do with it being blu-ray. The PS3 is doing all the work, then the PSP is just like how your TV is connected to the PS3; all it does is show the pictures :) .
