Lambs Liver

try and make sure its NZ lambs liver means its been grass fed and should be pretty easy to find in most supermarkets

Although wiki says otherwise I've never considered Liver to be true offal, along with the kidneys I just think of them as another tasty part of the animal. Why can it lead to gout? Something to do with the fat/cholesterol?

Edit: read further down and that's exactly the reason, although it talks about the 'potential' for high cholesterol, which I don't understand. How do you know if the particular liver you're eating is high in it or not? I also saw this link on the same page:

"Milt or soft roe also refers to the male genitalia of fish when they contain sperm, used as food."

Mmmmmm.

It's great. However it does contain high levels of vit A. However a couple of servings a week is fantastic. Great source of iron and protein.

Nothing wrong with british lamb. Welsh mountain lamb in particular is far better than that antipodean nonsense!

And yes, Lamb's liver's nice, Calves liver is even better though, especially with some Fried onions that have had a splash of white wine vinegar on them! Major om nom noms!
