Yes.

Touch lamp or button on the lamp.

Unless it's a tall corner lamp

Or just swap the bulb with a smart bulb and the switch on the chord becomes irrelevant.

Is it so difficult to just pick a lamp that has the switch in your desired position?

Yeah my stupid ikea desk lamp had the switch on the power cord. They're dirt cheap so I can't complain but it annoyed me so I moved it to the top of the lamp.

Don't need Alexa, just get Philips Hue and wireless switch, possibly costs more than the lamp though

If you do have Alexa, you could get a smart plug and plug it into that...then use the Alexa app to turn it off and on

You need a Lamp turned on to find the remote in the dark...

cable switches for floor lights work well - foot operation.
for bed-side lights, can spring clamp the cable so the switch is fixed to operate/find with one hand.
