I bought a Lamptron FC6 fan controller from ocuk in late april this year but recently came across the same controller in another build..

The trouble is that theyre controller has the lamptron branding on the front and mine is plain, i searched google images of the controller and all the others have the branding on the front - even the picture on the ocuk site shows branding on the front

my question is - have i received a fake product?
 
i agree, atleast not knowingly but the fact remains there is a lot of these controllers out there with branding and the one i bought does not have branding

also there has been quite a few lamptron fakes around
 
OCUK won't knowingly sell fake goods.

There was a batch of fake i7s sold by a competitor way back ~2009-2010 when the first i7s were out. Turns out the distributor had a batch of counterfeits and the competitor ceased business with them.

If you have doubts, open up a thread in the CS forum or get in contact with OCUK.
 
Didnt even see that part of the forum - should have posted there originally

I just want confirmation that it is not a fake tbh, i dont think it is as its working as expected - just thought its odd that its not branded thats all
 
No problem. Open a thread in CS and see what they say. It could just be that you've got a faulty unit that needs replacing under warranty.
