LAN disappeared??

Hey guys,

Installed a new Xp MCE onto my laptop...but now I have done so, in my network connections, my local area network seems to have disappeared...any way of getting this back...as im using this to run xbox live on the 360...

Im using a dell Inspiron 6400 if that helps...
